Although the Reno County 4-H Fair doesn’t officially begin until Wednesday, events have already been held here in Hutchinson.

That included the 4-H dog show which was held Saturday at the Sunflower building on the Kansas State Fairgrounds. Horses were on the fairgrounds during the Horse Show on Sunday
and Monday morning, the fashion Review judging was held at the Stringer Fine Arts Center on the HCC campus.

On Wednesday, all exhibits will be in place for public viewing in the Pride of Kansas building. Some of those displays will include family living projects, including foods, clothing, and crochet as examples. Then there will be arts and crafts, photography, woodwork, electric, ceramics, banners, plant science, leather craft and geology

And of course, there will be livestock including beef, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, and rabbits. They will be housed in the open class livestock barns on the south end of the fairgrounds, and will be available for viewing from Thursday through Monday.

Plus there will be a bakefest, and on Saturday will be an antique tractor show, an inflatable activity center such as a moonwalk and others.

On Sunday will be a blue ribbon BBQ from 6-8 p-m. Tickets are 8-dollars for adults, and 5-dollars for youth 5-to-10. That’s in advance and can be purchased at the fairgrounds.

The 4-H Livestock sale will wrap up next Monday with the sale beginning at 7:30 p-m in the Swine Judging area.
