MANHATTAN – A 28-year-old Manhattan man was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center following an altercation and robbery Friday night at his apartment.

The incident occurred just before 8 p-m, Friday at the residence of Daniel Rutz.

Riley County Police officials say Rutz contacted law enforcement after an altercation with a group of friends took place inside his apartment. Rutz told police the altercation was over property and his friends robbed him at knifepoint. The suspect took Rutz’ wallet and contents valued at $150.

Rutz was transported by Riley County EMS with facial injuries and had slipped in and out of consciousness.

No arrests have been made.
