A 27-year-old Hutchinson man bound over for trial after he was arrested back on April 22nd after allegedly fleeing a Hutchinson Police Officer was formally arraigned in the charges.
Robert Hill entered not guilty pleas Friday to aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement, felony flee and elude and driving while suspended, alleged to be an alleged to be a habitual violator.
Officer Jamie Schoenhoff attempted to stop Hill who then turned into an alley, where he crashed behind a home in the 200 block of East 8th. He then allegedly ran from the vehicle, but was caught two houses down. He then allegedly picked up a shovel and threw it at the officers head, but he was able to get out of the way. He then threw another yard ornament, a giraffe with a plant in it at the officer, but again missed. He was taken into custody shortly thereafter.
With the not guilty pleas, the case will be placed on Judge Tim Chambers trial docket.
