A joint investigation by both the Haven and Hutchinson Police Departments have led to the arrest of a man and woman on charges involving child sex.
Wendy Maureen Brown was in court Monday for the reading of charges against her, two of which could bring life sentences.
The state has charged her with aggravated indecent liberties with a child and sexual exploitation of a child, both off grid felonies with a potential life sentence. These two charges are in relation with a 13-year-old child. She’s also charged with indecent liberties with a child, and a less severe charge of sexual exploitation of a child. These two charges involve a 15-year-old child.
She remains jailed on a 100-thousand dollar bond, while Douglas Dean Fiscus is free on a 100-thousand dollar bond, and he faces charges for two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of electronic solicitation of a child, and aggravated indecent liberties with a child involving the 15-year-old.
The alleged crimes against the two are alleged to have occurred in Haven, but also has a connection with Hutchinson. The crimes occurring between March 1, and April 30, of this year.
Since he’s free on bond, he should make a court appearance will come later in the week.
