A 45-year-old Hutchinson man was arrested this afternoon following an investigation into him downloading child porn.

Wayne Hegner is now charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. According to Police Detective Scott Carlton, he has been downloading the pictures for over a year using a website, Peer-to-Peer file sharing. It’s a website where people exchange and send each other this kind of material.

Carlton says he has been investigating this case for a couple of months and a look at his computer showed a few hundred files of child porn.

Hegner is jailed on a 100-hundred thousand dollar bond, and unless he post that bond, he should make a first appearance in court Tuesday morning.
