Hutchinson Man Accused Of 2nd Degree Murder Bound Over For Trial

After a Hutchinson man accused of stabbing another man to death back in November of last year declined a plea offer from the state, a preliminary hearing was held this morning and Aaron Alvarez was bound over for trial.

Alvarez is accused of intentional murder in the 2nd degree for the killing of 23-year-old Allen Frank allegedly stabbing Frank to death after the two got into an altercation after Alvarez may have accidentally struck Frank’s girlfriend. The two then argued and Alvarez stabbed Frank in the abdomen. He was flown to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita where he died at around 12:29 a-m, on Thanksgiving morning. Alvarez was arrested on Thanksgiving day for intentional murder in the second degree.

He’ll now face trial on that charge.
