It appears the State Representative Jan Paul’s squeak out a victory over challenger Erich Bishop for the her seat, by 7-votes. Bishop wanted Pauls seat saying she voted too much with Republicans during her time in office. Pauls got 417-votes compared with 410 for Bishop.

Another close race for the seat which was held by Mike O’Neal, that being for the 104th District Seat. It appears the more moderate Republican candidate, former District Judge Steve Becker wins over the more conservative Ken Willard, who still holds the position on member of the State School Board. Becker win by 50-votes. The total has Becker with 1451 to Willard’s 1401. 

After leading a close 3-way race for much of the night, Tom Simpson ended up on the short end of the race for the 114th district seat as Jack Thimesch took advantage of strong support in Kingman County to win the primary with 1163 votes to 953 for Simpson.

Joe Seiwert survives his primary challenges in the 101st district gathering 1551 votes to 1051 for his nearest challenger Jayme Blubaugh.

County Commissioner Brad Dillon wins his primary challenge from Gary Britton. Dillon wins by a wide margin with over 66% of the vote. 

But, one defeat for an incumbent. It appears that the challenger, Jan Hull wins over Clark Miller by a wide margin, 59% to 41%. Hull who works in the Appraiser’s Office will now move over into the position of County Treasure. 

Of course, these are the unofficial results and may include some challenges in the closer races.
