Child Sex Suspect Makes Court Appearance

The man associated with a child sex case was in court this morning where he was read the formal complaint against him.

Douglas Fiscus is now charged with sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of electronic solicitation of a child, one count of solicitation of a child and aggravated indecent liberties. This involves two victims, a 13-year-old and a 15-year old. The aggravated indecent liberties count is for the 15-year-old, however the sexual exploitation counts could see him get life sentences.

The state has already charged Wendy Maureen Brown on charges, two of which could bring life sentences. She’s charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child and sexual exploitation of a child, both off grid felonies with a potential life sentence. These two charges are in relation with a 13-year-old child. She’s also charged with indecent liberties with a child, and a less severe charge of sexual exploitation of a child. These two charges involve a 15-year-old child.

She remains jailed on a 100-thousand dollar bond, while Douglas Dean Fiscus is free on a 100-thousand dollar bond.

The arrest coming after a joint investigation by both the Haven and Hutchinson Police Departments have led to the arrest of the two on the charges.

The alleged crimes against the two are alleged to have occurred between March 1, and April 30, of this year, in Haven, but also has a connection with Hutchinson.
