The 35-year-old Hutchinson man arrested twice for alleged drug sales and then for indirect contempt was back in court Friday morning where Judge Joe McCarville set bonds of a half million in each case.

Jason Hadley has been in jail with no bond since his arrest on August 3, for allegedly making contact with an confidential informant, or as the defendant referred to as a snitch.

The two attorney’s got a little heated during the hearing according the judge, but in the end, the bonds were set by the judge. However, Judge McCarville did inform Hadley’s attorney, Charlie O’Hara that he would consider a reduction if he can come up with a plan to insure the safety of others should he be released. That would include some type of electronic monitoring or other safety measures.

Hadley allegedly sent a number of text messages to the informant which was a violation of the condition of his bond.

As we told you before, the state has filed additional charges of intimidation of a witness and violation of a no contact order. He was read that complaint Wednesday morning by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.

In his drug cases, Hadley is charged with three counts for the sale of methamphetamine, allegedly less then a gram each time. He is also charged with two counts of unlawful use of a communications facility, namely a telephone to arrange a drug transaction and no tax stamp for the drugs. That was on July 14.

Back on June 19, he was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell within a 1,000 feet of Holly Cross School, possession of steroids with intent to sell, possession of the Diazapam pill, and no drug tax stamp.

The cases will now continue to move through the court system.
