MARION – Two were killed including a 2-year-old child, while several more were injured in a two vehicle accident in Marion County Friday.

Killed was 20-year-old Amber Alfred along with 2-year-old Josiah Alfred, of Junction City.

They were both riding in a car driven by 21-year-old Bryan K. Alfred. He along with 6-year-old Keith Johnson also both from Junction City were injured and were both flown to Via-Cristi St. Francis Hospital for treatment of injuries. It’s unknown if any in this vehicle were wearing seat-belts including the two kids.

Alfred was southbound on U-S 56 when he went left of center and struck a pickup driven by 41-year-old Toby Biehler of Herington. He and two passengers were taken to the Herington Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The accident occurring around 11:40 a-m, 4-miles south of Herington on U-S 56 Highway.
