While the finishing touches are being put in place on the new K-61 four lane project, progress is being made on the US-50 project south of Hutchinson.

Crews have been paving the new lanes which are being used by motorist in some places as they prepare the work on the existing lanes bridge work at the K-61 junction is almost finished and detour roads are being put in place.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the summer of 2013.
