A Hutchinson man has been indicted by a federal grand jury along with two from Wichita is association with the distribution of methamphetamine in Pratt County.

25-year-old David Ochoa, Jr., and 28-year-old Krista Montoya, both from Wichita, along with 45-year-old Michael Jay Seaman of Hutchinson, are charged in a superseding indictment with drug trafficking.

Ochoa and Montoya are charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine.

Seaman is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The crimes are alleged to have occurred in April and May 2012 in Pratt County.

If convicted of possession with intent to distribute 50-grams or more of actual methamphetamine, the penalty is not less than 10-years and not more than life and a fine up to $4 million on each count. For possession with intent to distribute 50-grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine, the penalty is not less than five years and not more than 40-years and a fine up to $2,500. And for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, the maximum penalty is 20-years and a fine up to $1 million.

Seaman has been on parole for crimes in Reno and Johnson Counties. That includes convictions of theft, aggravated escape from custody, battery, and possession of drugs. He has been released from in December of 2011.
