WICHITA (AP) – A high-tech data storage company will add 400 new jobs and invest $85 million in equipment at its Wichita plant.
Officials with NetApp announced the expansion on Thursday. The company already has 450 workers in Wichita.
The company says the average annual salary of the new jobs will be $73,000. Most of the work will be in product development and customer support.
The Wichita Eagle reports NetApp also plans to invest $85 million in equipment and renovation at its plant, although the plant will not expand.
NetApp is based in California and has 170 offices worldwide.
