The latest numbers from Country Treasure Clark Miller shows a good amount of sales tax money has been collected for the month of August.

The county brought in 395-thousand, 612-dollars this month compared to 351-thousand, 514-dollars last month, and only 333-thousand, 340-dollars for the same period last year. That shows in increase of over 44-thousand dollars over July numbers, and an increase of over 62-thousand over the same period last year.

So far the county has brought in 2-million, 820-thousand, 624-dollars, compared with 2-million, 688-thousand, 465-dollars last year. That means that so far the county is ahead of last year by over 132-thousand dollars.

The numbers released Monday represent June sales in the county.
