Hutchinson Man Accused Of 2nd Degree Murder Enters Not Guilty Plea

A Hutchinson man accused of stabbing another man to death back in November of last year and declined a plea offer from the state entered a not guilty plea Tuesday in front of Judge Tim Chambers.

Prior to a preliminary hearing in the case, Aaron Alvarez was told the if he declined the states plea offer, he doubted if another offer would be made, and Alvarez still declined the offer.

He’s accused of intentional murder in the 2nd degree for the killing of 23-year-old Allen Frank allegedly stabbing Frank to death after the two got into an altercation after Alvarez may have accidentally struck Frank’s girlfriend. The two then argued and Alvarez stabbed Frank in the abdomen. Frank was flown to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita where he died at around 12:29 a-m, on Thanksgiving morning. Alvarez was arrested that same day on the murder charge.
