As fast as it came up, the attractions at the Kansas State Fair grounds came down as the carnival rides and attractions moved on to their next stop in Texas.. The fair finished its ten day run with a huge crowd on Sunday and more than 7,000 fans turning out for the Big Time rush concert.

State Fair General Manager Denny Stoecklein said this years fair won’t break last years record setting numbers, but it was still a good event.

Final attendance figures for the fair wont be known until later this fall.

Stoecklein says the focus now turns to the 2012 “State Fair” and the 100 birthday for the “Great Kansas Get Together”.
