A two vehicle crash in Stafford County killed a Texas man Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol Reports that at approximately 1:40 P.M., Sunday Afternoon, 67-year-old Amador Holguin-Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas was southbound on U-S 281 and stopped on the shoulder, approximately 12-miles north of St. John.

He then attempted a u-turn and was struck by a southbound vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Jordan Hickel of Great Bend. As a result of the crash, both vehicles came to rest in the west ditch.

Amador was not wearing a seat-belt and was ejected from his vehicle, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hickel was wearing his safety restraint and was not injured in the accident.
