The trial for a Hutchinson man accused of stabbing another man to death back in November of last year will go to trial in front of Judge Tim Chambers in November.

According to District Attorney Keith Schroeder, the trial for Aaron Alvarez will be during the week of November 25, and Kevin O’Conner may be the prosecutor in the case. O’Conner at one time worked in the Sedgwick County D.A’s office and is involved with the prosecution of a former law enforcement training officer. Bret Seacat is accused of killing his wife at their home in Kingman.

Alvarez is accused of intentional murder in the 2nd degree for the killing of 23-year-old Allen Frank. He allegedly stabbed Frank to death after the two got into an altercation after Alvarez may have accidentally struck Frank’s girlfriend. The two then argued and Alvarez stabbed Frank in the abdomen.

Frank was flown to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita where he died at around 12:29 A.M., on Thanksgiving morning. Alvarez was arrested that same day on the murder charge.

Again, the trial in the case is now set for late November.
