A 22-year-old Hutchinson woman waiting trial on charges associated with a drive-by shooting on the southeast side of Hutchinson earlier this year was arrested over the weekend for allegedly getting into an altercation with a man at a local tavern.
It happened early Sunday morning at Vic’s Tavern at 1514 E 4th. 22-year-old Holly Caudillo and 29-year-old Lorenzo Hester were both arrested for battery.
Caudillo, Hester and a third man, 29-year-old Shawn Jones were all three advised of criminal trespass at the business. Hester and Jones were also arrested for failing to appear on minor municipal court charges
Caudillo in the case from earlier this year faces trial of charges of aggravated battery, and 7 counts of criminal discharge of a firearm. This for the alleged drive-by shooting back in February.
She’s suspected of being with Jason Gleason when he fired numerous shots at a home in the 1100 block of East C. Several people had gathered at the home including two kids. One man was wounded in the foot as a result.
Gleason entered a plea in this the shooting case and two others last week, while Caudillo is scheduled for a jury trial next week. However, Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell indicates that the trial may be continued.
