Residential and Commercial property sales were good in the month of August according to figures released Tuesday by County Appraiser Lori Reedy.

She says there were 85-residential sales in the month of August, a slight increase over last year when there were 82, and also 2010 when there were 84. There were 8-foreclosures which is one of the lowest numbers in several years, according to Reedy.

Commercial sales were down a bit with 3 in August, compared with 14, last year, and 5 in 2010. For the year, there have been 45-commercial sales compared with 51, last year and the same in 2010. She says that shows a stable commercial market in the area.
