The jury is still out in the murder trial for Charles Christopher Logsdon. The jury got the case Wednesday afternoon and have been in deliberations for over 9-hours now.

The state had 104 witnesses in the two week trial and had 213 exhibits that the jury would have to consider.

Both Logsdon and Billy Craig Jr., are charged with the murder of Jennifer Heckel on June 14 of last year, but allegedly, the intended victim was Kayla Rodriquez. The state contends it was a case of mistaken identity.

The family and friends of the victim have been at the courthouse through the entire trial and have held a vigil inside the Reno County Courthouse through the day waiting for a verdict. There was a question to the judge from the jury this afternoon, but that was handled by the judge in Chambers.

The jury went home for the night Thursday, and will resume their deliberations Friday morning at 8:30 a-m.
