ANDOVER, Kan. (AP) – One of three people injured after a series of explosions at a Butler County propane company has died.
A spokeswoman at Via Christi hospital in Wichita confirmed that one person died Tuesday after the explosions at Global Propane. One other person remains hospitalized and a third was treated and released. All three were employees of the plant.
Butler County residents who live near the propane company, which is between Andover and Rose Hill, are back in their homes after being evacuated.
Officials say three homes were damaged by a fire that was started by the explosions.
The cause of the blasts has not been determined.
