Reno County Sales Tax Numbers For November Show A Gain

Once again, sales tax numbers for November outpaced last month and November of last year.

According to numbers released Tuesday by County Treasure Clark Miller, The county collected 374-thousand, 583-dollars compared with 358-thousand, 493-dollars last month, and just under 360-thousand for the same month last year.

So far for the year, the county has collected 3-million, 890-thousand, 680-dollars which is slightly higher then last year when at this point, the county collected just over 3-million, 735-thousand dollars.

The county has one more month counted in this year and is looking to beat last year when the county collected just over 4-million, 95-thousand dollars.

Collections for the month of November reflect sales for the month of September and the Kansas State Fair may have helped bring the numbers up.
