KINSLEY – A 57-year-old Salina man was killed in a double semi crash in Edwards County Tuesday afternoon.

Killed was Charles M. Kerth, while the other driver identified as 50-year-old Danial R. Haynes of Kinsley was taken to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kerth was eastbound on U-S 56, while Haynes was northbound on 110 Road. He had stopped at the stop sign at the highway. Meanwhile, Kerth for an unknown reason went off the side of the road to the south and struck the semi driven by Haynes.

The accident occurring just after 3 p-m Tuesday, along U-S 56, approximately 2-miles east of Kinsley.
