Eagle Media has learned that another major business in the Hutchinson Mall is closing it’s doors. Amy’s Hallmark will close at the end of the business day, January 26th. An official with Hallmark confirmed that they have been informing customers that they will be closed by next month, and are no longer taking orders for purchases. Calls to Hallmark’s corporate office went unanswered.
Hallmark recently announced that they would also consolidate its card manufacturing facility in Topeka, and let a number of employees go, as they look to streamline its operations.
Hallmark becomes the third major business in the mall to close its doors in the past year. Dillard’s closed operations for good in Hutchinson, while Radio Shack moved to a new location near 17th and Lorraine.
