Two Hutchinson men who were jailed back on December 3 after they allegedly entered residence in the 1300 block of North Washington and stole purses belonging to the two female residents appeared via-video in District Court where they were told of the charges against them.
20-year-old Andrew Hufford and 21-year-old Dylan Burgess are now both charged with burglary and theft.
Hufford was also arrested on two warrants for failing to appear, a probation violation and violation of his post release supervision. His bond set at 50-thousand, 500-dollars.
He had served time for robbery and burglary in a case that goes back to January of 2011. He has been on community corrections for convictions for drugs, driving while suspended, and no insurance for a case that goes back to February. He was listed as an absconder according to the Kansas Department of Corrections website.
He’ll be back in court Friday at 3 p-m, for motions in other cases.
Burgess is also charged with interference with law enforcement. But, he also had a warrant for failing to appear for a municipal court case.
Both men were arrested at 5th & Cleveland and taken into custody.
