It will be a light agenda for what will be the last meeting for Reno County Commissioner’s before they change their meeting schedule to just one day per week.
During Tuesdays study session, the board discussed the format that will be used starting next Tuesday, which will now be the regular meeting day. The change comes about after the board decided that they could conduct nearly all of their business in just one day, instead of two.
From now on, the board will have both discussion items and regular items to take action on, in the same meeting . Study session items would then appear on the agenda for a vote the following week. The change will allow the public more time to provide their input on issues.
The only item on Wednesdays agenda is a request from Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, to provide some transportation during the centers Job Mentoring Day, which is set for October 19th. The County Commission meeting begins at 9 a-m.
