Moran Talks About the Next Farm Bill. (Video)

HAVEN – Senator Jerry Moran says that any new farm will will likely have to endure a smaller budget. And the target of those cuts will likely come directly to farmers instead of the other collateral spending that is a part of the current farm bill.

Only about 12% of the farm bill is actually for farming, while the rest is caught up in other programs such as food stamps and school lunch programs. Moran made the comments during a stop in Haven Wednesday afternoon.

Moran also fielded questions about fair trade, health care and social security during his 90 minute stop.
