The second suspect in the burglary of Westpahl Jewelers made a first appearance on the charges Wednesday morning. 34-year-old Kenya Demond Breakfield is jailed on a 50-thousand dollar bondon charges of burglary non-dwelling, theft and criminal damage to property up to 24-thousand 999-dollars.

He is also from Wichita and was apparently arrested by law enforcement in that city on Wednesday. In court, he also requested a reduction of bond which was denied by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen. His case will now be placed on a future waiver-status docket.

He’s no stranger to the law having served time in prison for two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, theft, obstruction and aggravated robbery. All of those convictions out of Johnson County

Co-defendant, 38-year-old Derrick Glover was in court Tuesday morning where he was also read the charges and also denied a bond reduction

Glover and Breakfield are suspected of driving a vehicle through the front of Westphal Jewelers back on January 12.

Another person arrested still has not been charged in the case, that being 44-year-old Francis Johnson. He was arrested for failing to appear in another matter.
