It’s the first sales tax report for 2013, and it shows a good start for the new year.

The report released Monday by County Treasure Clark Miller shows the county brought in 369-thousand, 587-dollars. That tops January of 2012 when the county collected 345-thousand, 63-dollars and January of 2011 when the county collected 334-thousand, 521-dollars.

The report released for January reflects sales in the county in November of last year.
