Hutch Man’s Cases Stacking Up After Weekend Arrest

Christopher Ford 2

A 26-year-old Hutchinson man is jailed on bonds totaling 16-thousand dollars for three cases, one of which apparently happened over the weekend.

Christopher Ford was arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, but was also at a home where he had been ordered not to go to, resulting in a charge of criminal trespass. This occurring in the 500 block of East 9th.

But, he was also arrested on two warrants for two cases back in January. One charges him with interference with law enforcement and flee and elude when he ran from a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy. That was on January 7.

The third case charges him with criminal possession of firearm and leaving the scene of an accident on January 15. The criminal possession of firearm charge was because it’s illegal for him to have a weapon because of previous felony convictions.

He’s been on community corrections for a charge of theft from 1994, possession of drugs from 2009, and a burglary case from 2010. According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, he is currently listed as an absconder from those corrections.

Ford should be back in court in the next few days for a status on all of these cases.

Also arrested was 18-year-old Michelle Morgan for interference with law enforcement.
