The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce will host the 2nd Annual Shamwalk in Downtown Hutchinson on Saturday, March 16th. The inaugural event brought more than 125 participants to downtown.

Shamwalk is a socializing and networking opportunity for community members, and will encourage participants to patronize several downtown restaurants.

“It was great to see so many green shirts everywhere you went,” Lori Webb, Director of Sales and Membership for the Chamber said of last year’s event. “We’ve had a lot of people interested in the Shamwalk, and we hope to bring even more people downtown this year.”

This year’s event will feature a kick-off party held at the Chamber from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided and a prize will be awarded to the participant with the best Saint Patrick’s Day themed accessories.

Participants will be encouraged to stop in at all participating locations between 3:00-6:00 p.m. There are several opportunities to win prizes throughout the day, and many participating locations will offer food and drink specials.

Registration is $20 at www.hutchchamber.com, and includes an official 2013 Shamwalk t-shirt, admission to the kick-off event, and a chance to win prizes. Participants may also register in person at the Chamber, 117 N. Walnut. The deadline to be guaranteed a t-shirt is March 6th.
