Hearing For Man Facing Child Sex Charges Continued To Next Month

Henry Ddavidson 2

Both attorneys in a case involving a 36-year-old man charged in a child sex case arrived in court Monday afternoon for the preliminary hearing when it had to be continued after it was discovered that none of the states witnesses had been subpoenaed.

Henry Davidson is charged with rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and aggravated criminal sodomy for allegedly molesting the 10-year daughter of a Hutchinson woman he was living with.

The sexual abuse is alleged to have been going on in a time range of August of 2006 through part of last year. Police got involved in the case back in September of last year after the apparent victim told a friend of the abuse and that led to her mother finding out and the investigation beginning.

Police did a search of the home and were able to seize the suspects cell phone which police say brought them some evidence in the case.

The hearing has now been pushed back to April 10 according to Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen. That gives the state a chance to make sure witnesses are subpoenaed.
