Emergency

BIRMINGHAM (AP) – The youngest child injured when an electronic sign fell at the Birmingham airport is out of the hospital.

A spokesman for Chidren’s of Alabama, Justin Cohen, said 5-year-old Tyler Bresette was released Sunday. He was treated for a concussion.

His mother, Heather Bresette, and his 8-year-old brother, Sam, are still hospitalized.

The family from Overland Park, Kansas was walking by a large arrival and departure sign in a newly renovated concourse at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport on Friday when the sign fell from a wall. It killed 10-year-old Luke Bresette.
