PRATT – A Pratt County man was convicted yesterday of involuntary manslaughter in connection with a 2011 traffic collision.

A Pratt County jury found 29-year-old Drew Allen Haerle, of Preston, guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

The charge stemmed from a traffic collision in May 2011 that resulted in the death of 45-year-old Marla Frazier, of Beaver County, Okla. Frazier was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on K-61 north of Pratt. She died as a result of injuries suffered when Haerle, traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the Frazier vehicle.

Haerle tested positive for alcohol and marijuana. Two other occupants of the Frazier vehicle were also injured.

Judge Francis Meisenheimer scheduled sentencing for May 28 at 1:30 p-m.
