Turkey Through Windshield Causes Minor Injuries

A 65-year-old Larned man suffered only minor injuries Monday morning when he was traveling eastbound on U-S 50 and a turkey flew into his windshield, that according to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office.

The turkey actually went through the windshield into David Miller’s lap before finally coming to rest in the passengers lap, that being 56-year-old Dena Miller also of Larned.

David Miller was treated at the scene for minor cuts and glass in the eyes. Dena was not injured. Both occupants were wearing their seat belts.

The accident occurring around 8:55 a-m, Monday morning at U-S 50 and Salem Rd.
