The Buhler USD 313 Board of Education met Tuesday night in a special session at which time they accepted the resignation of Superintendent, Dr. Dan Stiffler. In his letter of resignation to the board, Stiffler said he has not decided whether he will pursue working in education or other interests.

Stiffler was recently named a finalist for the vacant superintendents position in the Jenks Oklahoma school district in Tulsa, but did not get the position. He had been with the Buhler School District for about three years and was a part of the districts efforts to get a 45-million dollar facilities bond issue passed.

The district would not comment on Stiffler’s departure since it is a personnel matter. The district did not waste any time finding Stiffler’s replacement as they named Buhler High School Principal Mike Berblinger as the new Superintendent.
