A 23-year-old Hutchinson woman was injured in a one vehicle accident Thursday evening on Plum Street in Rice County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Gabriela Vega-Chinas was northbound when for an unknown reason, her vehicle left the roadway and she then struck a tree.

She was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. A 3-year-old child in her vehicle was properly restrained in a car seat and was not injured.

The accident occurring about 7:20 p-m, Thursday night on North Plum at Apache Road on the Reno-Rice County line.
