The 23-year-old man who walked away from the Barton County Jail had deputies here in Reno County looking for him for a second time, but he was found at a Great Bend home.

Lee Dean was found about noon on Monday at a home in Great Bend after officers received tips from the public.Dean and another person inside the home surrendered without incident.

Dean had been captured by Reno County Sheriff Deputies on a warrant for Barton County back in May, but also for a probation violation for a conviction of criminal damage here in Reno County. He was turned over to Barton County on their warrant. Reno County deputies were on the lookout for him again Monday, not only for the escape from the jail in Great Bend, but on a new warrant here in Reno County.

He’s now a suspect in a burglary down in Pretty Prairie which occurred back in April. The First Mennonite Church in that city was broken into and ransacked according to Captain Steve Lutz with the Reno County Sheriff’s Office. He says electronic items were taken including video cameras, a laptop computer, DVD player and other items. Dean faces charges here in Reno County for burglary, felony theft and felony criminal damage.

Dean was discovered missing from in his cell about 11 p-m, Sunday and there was some thought that he might have been on his way to Hutchinson, but that is apparently not the case with him again being found in Great Bend. He could be looking at an additional charge in that county.
