The Hutchinson USD-308 Career and Technical Education Academy will get a special visit from Kansas Governor Sam Brownkback Thursday afternoon. The Governor will present a check to the C-Tea for $18,000.00 dollars as part of an incentive program for teaching vocational skills. Its part of a program the Governor instituted last year to increase vocational opportunities for students

The C-Tea is preparing for it’s 5th year, and Director David Patterson says this program, and others, have boosted the ability of the school district to train students for future careers.

The ceremony with Governor Brownback begins at 3pm at the C-Tea facilities just north of Hutchinson High School at 800 15th Circle.
