A nearly 3 hour standoff with Hutchinson law enforcement ended peacefully early Friday morning with one person taken into custody. Hutchinson Police Captain Troy Hoover says the they first got a call just before 6 a-m, about a man who was possibly armed with a gun, wanting to do harm to himself at 820 Keast St.

34-year-old Justin Ledgerwood eventually surrendered to police without incident. He was taken to Promise Regional Medical Center for observation. Police were forced to evacuate several mobile homes around the area of Ledgerwood’s residence at the Town and Country Mobile Home Park as a precaution.

Police could not confirm reports that Ledgerwood was actually armed during the incident, and there were no reports of him pointing any type of weapon at law enforcement.
