Construction crews working in the area of 30th and Waldron fractured a gas line over the noon hour forcing the evacuation of a four block area around the intersection. The incident happened around 12:10 pm. The evacuations covered Waldron Street from 26th to 30th Avenue, 30th Avenue from Waldron to Plaza East and Plaza east to Lakewood. An evacuation center was been set up at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center according to Reno County 911. No fires or explosion occurred and no injuries reported either. 30th Avenue was blocked off, so motorist were forced to find another route through that area.
