DERBY – Sedgwick County Sheriff Officials continue to investigate the death of a 34-year-old man found floating in swimming pool behind a home in Derby.

It was just after 3 p-m, when Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 4500 block of E. Finn to check the welfare of an individual. When deputies arrived, they found Kyle Phelps, floating in the swimming pool.

The deputies performed CPR till EMS arrived and they pronounced Phelps as deceased. What caused the death was not announced.

The investigation is continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
