Everyone in law enforcement so far are staying pretty quiet as to the details of a man from Nickerson arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Shanon Patrick Williams made an appearance in District Court on the single charge, but Sheriff Randy Henderson says he can’t comment because its a federal case at this point. The sheriff’s office apparently assisted Immigration and Custom Enforcement Agents with a search of a residence at 103 S. Paine.

Sheriff Captain Steve Lutz says its a federal case because there may be an international connection to the case, but wouldn’t give specifics.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell says it has to do with him taking pictures of his 13-year-old autistic child and then distributing the photos.

Williams in court saw a reduction of his bond denied. It currently sits at 125-thousand dollars.
