A 34-year-old Hutchinson man was killed just before 3 a-m, Friday morning after crashing his motorcycle into another vehicle. He has been identified as Benjamin Thomas Branton of 520 East 8th.

It was just before 3 a-m, Hutchinson Police were called to the 100 block of East 9th. There were no witnesses to the collision according to police with a person coming up on the scene and found the victim. Branton was eastbound on 9th and his motorcycle went left of center of the roadway and collided with a parked GMC SUV that was parked on the north side of 9th.

Branton was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was present but it is still under investigation as to whether it contributed to the collision.

The accident is still under investigation.
