A 21-year-old Sedgwick man who has apparently been living in Hutchinson was arrested and facing charges of battery-domestic violence and criminal damage to property.

But, Bradley Poague also faces charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault-domestic violence and criminal restraint.

He is alleged to have battered a person at a home here in Hutchinson, held a person against their will, threatened others, as well as cause some damage at the home.

In court, he told Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen that he wanted to get back to Sedgwick, but had no money and his ex-girl friend who he was apparently staying with wouldn’t take him. He also said that he felt threatened by things that her uncle said to him.

This domestic case apparently occurring early Friday morning.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson told the judge that there are indications that he had trouble with the law in two southern states, including making a terrorist type threat in Georgia, and also was arrested for domestic violence in Alabama. But Poague told the judge that those charges were dropped.

Davidson also told the judge that the current charges appear to be fairly violent in nature and wanted the bond of 15-thousand, 500-dollars to remain. The judge agreed because of the nature of the charges.

Poague will be back in court on Wednesday.
