A 26-year-old Hutchinson man who had been under supervision for violating the Kansas Offender Act in 2012, will face trial involving drugs.

Kenneth Alan Socha is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of K-2, or synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was in court this week for a pretrial hearing and Judge Tim Chambers set a trial date of November 12.

The case starts with an arrest and detain order issued for a violation of his community corrections. Officers went to his home in the 100 block of North Chemical and they ended up doing a search of his residence and allegedly found the drugs.

There are two residences at that location, one is in what appears to be a garage, while the other is the regular home. Socha lived in the one that looked like a garage, but did have access to the home where he took showers and also stored some food.

You may remember Socha for a conviction of indecent liberties with a child stemming from a case from 2008.

Again, the trial date set by the judge is November 12.
