Bank of Kansas will be getting a new name and a new look. The central Kansas bank will merge into Stillwater National Bank and Trust Co. on Nov. 15, according to a news release from Southwest Bancorp Inc., the holding company for both banks.
All banks owned by Stillwater, Okla.-based Southwest (Nasdaq: OKSB) — which include Bank of Kansas, Stillwater National Bank
and SNB Banks in Texas — will operate in all markets under one national charter and a single name, Bank SNB, the release says.
Bank of Kansas, which reported assets of $291.9 million as of June 30, opened its doors for financial services in 1907 and was purchased by Southwest Bancorp in July 2007. Bank of Kansas has full-service branches in Hutchinson, South Hutchinson, Anthony, Harper, Wichita and Overland Park.
