It caused quite a mess Friday afternoon when two vehicles collided southeast of Hutchinson.
At around 2:17 p-m, Reno County Sheriff Deputies were sent to the 700 block of East G for a injury accident.
The driver of one of the vehicles, 50-year-old Michale Bollinger and passenger Rodney Kletcha were traveling southbound in his Cheney Door Company work truck on Obee Road when he was struck by an empty southeast Sand Semi truck that was traveling eastbound on Ave G.
Bollinger was air lifted to Via-Cristi St Francis Regional Medical center due to his injuries. Kletcha was later taken by personal vehicle to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for an evaluation. The driver of the semi, Randall Hoskinson was uninjured and denied medical attention.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles came to rest after striking a Westar Energy pole and puncturing a Black Hills Energy high pressure gas line.
Gas & Electric crews were on site dealing with repairs.
A 1/2 mile exclusion zone was set up around the area as precaution.
