A 27-year-old Hutchinson man who was just released from prison back in June is jailed now on a 50-thousand dollar bond after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

Lucas Hall faces charges of aggravated assault-domestic violence, two additional counts of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

Hall is alleged to have hit a vehicle multiple times with his ex-girlfriend and others inside, as they tried to get away from him. The incident started as she traveled southbound on Maple from 5th. It ended near 4th & Main where he was arrested on the charges. She was apparently trying to get to the law enforcement center. There was damage to her vehicle as a result.

In court, he saw his bond increased from 15-thousand, 500-dollars to 50-thousand based on the states request. Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell told the judge of the seriousness of the charges and also his prior criminal history. Hall had been in prison for convictions of attempted kidnapping, aggravated battery, and two counts of aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim. The convictions the result of cases that go back to August and October of 2010.

Hall will be back in court once the state files formal charges. Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen also ordered no contact with the victims in the case.
